In The Games Corner… – Star Wars Episode I: Battle For Naboo, Nintendo 64

It is safe to say that there has been so many Star Wars themed games throughout the years, this particular game is set and based around The Phantom Menace Episode 1. Star Wars Episode I: Battle for Naboo was released 18th December 2000 on the Nintendo 64. It was developed by Factor S and LucasArts and designed by Brett Tosti and Holgor Schmidt.

In the game you control a character called Gavyn Sykes who is a lieutenant in Naboo’s Royal Security Forces. The aim of the game is to help defend the planet of Naboo as there is a dispute happening over trade routes.

The game has 15 missions and to get each one you have to complete each one. Throughout the game you have the opportunity to drive in several different vehicles including warcrafts, gunboats and police cruisers to name a few. Throughout the game you are marked on your skills levels and are awarded different medals depending on how many points you gain.

The game received a reasonable review ratings with people praising the absorbing storyline. It had also sturdy controls and exciting aerial combats. However it was criticised for lack of innovation.
