Games That Time Forgot – Aquaman: Battle For Atlantis, Nintendo Gamecube

Screen Shot 2019-03-16 at 22.18.54Today we look at a game that was created for the Nintendo Gamecube and was based around the superhero of the sea – Aquaman in the game Battle For Atlantis. The game was released in 2003, it was developed by Lucky Chicken Games and was published by TDK Mediactive.

The plot of the game is based around the return of Aquaman’s mortal enemy Black Manta returning to create havoc. He brings with him lots of warriors to try and terrorise and destroy the kingdom of Atlantis. The aim of the game is to save the city and stop the warriors causing all the havoc. The game had 21 levels including 4 submarine attack areas, however throughout the game you can unlock and play as different characters.

Throughout the game you have to swim through Atlantis to try and find enemies to defeat and kill. Each level has a number of different ruins that you have to swim through to try and find the villains. To defeat them you have the ability to punch, kick and grapple anyone.

Even though the idea of the game seems interesting the actual concept did not work well at all. The game received a lot of negative reviews because it was unfavourable, the graphics were bad and that as a whole the game was ‘pathetic.’
