Welcome to this Months feature! Now, January is a time when it is the start of something new and everything fresh! With that means that people are always on the lookout for new music! Well, this feature may not bring you a lot of new music but it will welcome you into my world! Music is a huge part of my life – if i am not listening to it, i am playing my guitar or keyboard or even writing a post for this site (Off The Record).

So to start off 2018 I wanted to write about a topic I love and I came across this daily challenge so I thought why not turn it into an article! So here we go! Lets start with the first in this monthly feature – Lost in Music (You probably have that song stuck in your head now its by Sister Sledge)

A Song That Annoys You: Hello – Adele

I must be part of the very small percentage of the population that gets irritated by this female solo artists voice and I really don’t know why. Adele comes across as a really nice person in any interview I have seen her do and the thing that I admire about her is that she isn’t afraid to take the mickey out of herself. Although saying that I seriously and utterly cannot stand her voice – to me it is like nails on a chalkboard just to give you some perspective.

I avoid her music like the plague – to this day I have not heard Hello the whole way through and have only heard it to maybe the end of the first chorus. I didn’t even listen to it whilst writing this. Her music for me is depressing yes but just not for me – I cannot stand it, I cannot mention any song of hers I like. I think that’s why i initially forced myself to like Ed Sheeran – when solo artists like these become known they become very viral and whenever Adele or Sheeran releases an album you can not escape their music. Sam Smith was the same – just like Adele I couldn’t stand his music and then I forced myself to watch the video for I’m Not The Only One and I started to eventually like him but it took a lottttt of forcing. This won’t work for Adele i have tried but nope it doesn’t work.
