Turn Me On – Kevin Lyttle
Today we are heading back to the early noughties to take a look at a single that was really popular and catchy. Turn Me On was a debut single released by musician Kevin Lyttle on the 13th October 2003. It was produced by RedOne, Nely and Adrian Bailey and released on the label Atlantic. It was from his self titled debut album which was released in 2004.
Part of the melody may sound familiar as it uses All My Love by 112 throughout. The CD single version of the track had different remixes of the single on it.
Turn Me On did really well in the charts and went into the top 10 in many countries including Australia (3), Belgium (5), Denmark (1), Greece (2), Hungary (4), Italy (3) and Switzerland (3) to name a few. In the US it went to number 1 on the Dance Airplay and Dance single charts. In the United Kingdom it went into the charts at 2 in the top 40 and number 1 in the UK Hip Hop R&B charts.
The single gained many certifications in many different countries. In the UK it became 2x Platinum selling over 1,200,000 copies.
