Hello! Tell us all about your show!
Take a massive wheel of science, spin it, and let fate decide what spectacular experiment happens next! Doktor Kaboom and the Wheel of Science is a high-energy, interactive comedy show where science meets personal empowerment. It’s a wild, funny, and explosive ride for kids and adults alike, proving that science isn’t just for the lab—it’s for everyone, and it is incredibly fun.
What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?
I love acts that take huge, creative risks. I’ll be hunting for incredible physical comedy, brilliant stand-up, and anything that blends storytelling with a bit of spectacle. The best part of the Fringe is stumbling into a random venue and discovering your new favorite performer.
Have you done the fringe before? What are the key pieces of advice you have been given or would give to new groups or people performing at the fringe.
Pace yourself. The Fringe is a marathon, not a sprint. My biggest advice—whether you’re a performer or an audience member—is to take care of your feet, drink plenty of water, and embrace the chaos. Also, don’t just stare at your ticket sales; focus on making a genuine connection with the people who did show up.
Talk us through your daily routine for a day at the Fringe
Wake up, hunt down a strong coffee, and review the plan for the day. Then it’s time to head out into the beautiful madness of Edinburgh—flyering, talking to folks, and getting into character. After the show, which is a glorious whirlwind of energy and flying props, I like to catch another act, grab a pint with friends, and collapse into bed to do it all over again.
Ok, where is your favourite place to eat at the Fringe?
Home. We always book a place filled with fellow performers. Street acts, comedians, circus performers, journalists, and their families create a rotating mess of joy. Our family style meals are the best!
Best thing about performing at the fringe?
The audiences. Fringe audiences are independent, adventurous, and up for absolutely anything. When you get a room full of people ready to laugh, learn, and shout along with the show, there’s no better feeling. I call it Rock and Roll Theatre.
Do you bring anything special from home to make it feel more special whilst you are away?
A few comforts of home are essential. For me, it’s a favourite coffee mug and a solid pair of worn-in trainers. If your feet are happy and you’re properly caffeinated, you can conquer the world (or at least the Royal Mile).
What are your best hacks to save money whilst at the Fringe?
Walk everywhere—the city is gorgeous and you save a fortune on transport. Pack snacks for the day so you aren’t tempted by convenience food between shows. And take advantage of 2 for 1 ticket opportunities.
If people want to find out more about you, where can they follow you on social media?
You can find all the behind-the-scenes chaos, upcoming tour dates, and scientific silliness at http://www.DoktorKaboom.com or for most social media I am @DoktorKaboom
And Finally in three words – why should people come and see the show?
Joyful. Unmissable. Chaos.
