There is always a story behind a photograph and I thought it would be a fun way to look at the world of travel. So, welcome to the feature that will appear regularly in the travel section.

The great thing about photographs of France is that they always bring back great memories and can take you right back to that particular moment in time. Today we are looking at an image that was taken in Aix-en-Provence.

This photograph was taken at a food market. I think it is a really interesting location as the trees are really tall and create an interesting depth to the photograph and really reel you into the market below.

I like the fact that you can see the food items clearly making you want to walk into the photos to find out what the stands are selling and to find out more about the product.

I feel that the colour of the photograph also makes you want to find out more about the narrative. The sun creates natural light to the top of the photo highlighting the bold yellow, the blue sky and the trunks of the trees. The market is shaded which also creates drama in the photograph and makes you want to look at it for ages.
