There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.

Hold On Me – Phixx

Today we are heading into the territory of boybands to take a look at the debut single of one that was around in the early noughties.

On the 27th October 2003, the boyband Phixx released their debut single Hold On Me. It was from the album Eletrophonic Revolution. The single was produced by Dave James and John McLaughlin and released under the record label of Concept Music.

The band became popular through the television show Popstars: The Rivals and were also formed on the show. When they were voted off they signed to a music label to become a certified band.

To try and make the track popular both the music video and the live performances involved a lot of sexual dance moves. The CD version of the single had a remix of the track, the music video and an extra song called Creepin’.

It did well in the charts and went into the UK top 40 at chary position 10 and the UK Indie chart at number 2.
