have been to many concerts, it is one of the things that makes me incredibly happy. I know it seems maybe a bit bizarre talking about gigs in this strand but I thought of something – gig venues are ‘technically’ related to travel. I have had to travel many times for concerts and sometimes it is hard to find out what the venues are actually like, from a visitor perspective. So, ever so often, I am going to talk about different venues and will tell you my personal experiences of them. Today we are going to talk about a venue that inspired it.
Madison Square Garden , New York City

If there is one venue that everyone always talks about being a place you have to visit then it is Madison Square Gardens. So many television and films talk about it that it makes it really iconic.
In 2010, I lived in New York City for three months, before we went to the States we were lucky enough to get tickets for Lady Gaga, it was one of her first big tours so it was a huge deal.
The seats were not amazing but we had a good view and very randomly opposite us in the stadium was Donald Trump and his family (years before he was President and was just a name).
Madison Square Garden is just how you expect it to be – grand, huge inside and amazing. I vaguely remember it took a long time to get in and to get out and that it was probably one of the biggest venues I have been to.
Since it was Lady Gaga and NYC the fans had gone all out – dressed to the nines like Gaga. Out of all the venues I have been to, I am not sure that I can say it had the best sound for a concert but visiting the location is special.
It is in a really central part of the city meaning that you can get home easily and I am very happy I got a chance to go to it. It sort of felt surreal that I have been inside such an iconic building.
