Hello! Tell us all about your show!
“God’s Favourite” is a show about one of the worst nights of my life. I got stranded at a historic re-enactment/LARP event without my bipolar medication for the first time in 12 years and it was a harrowing journey through mania and the middle ages. In the end, I briefly met God.
What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?
Sam Nicoresti, Kate Dolan, Alex Hines & Sarah Stafford, Frankie McNair
If this is your first time – what are you looking forward to?
Finding hidden gems, meeting artists from all over the world, seeing a show that’s so truly bad it gives me chills.
Talk us through your daily routine for a day at the Fringe?
I imagine I’ll be worshipping at the altar of art, doing a lot of spellwork and manifesting et cetera to appease the great deities who write reviews for The Scotsman.
Ok, where is your favourite place to eat at the Fringe?
When I went to Edinburgh a few years ago, I had a cake at Lovecrumbs that I fear changed my brain chemistry forever. I don’t remember what kind of cake it was, so I’ll have to have every single cake they have on offer to find it again.
Best thing about performing at the fringe?
Sold out crowds, five star reviews and taking home a fat wad of cash (manifesting!).
Do you bring anything special from home to make it feel more special whilst you are away?
My Western Bulldogs AFL hat, my IKEA Blahaj shark (trans icon!) and the same pair of Doc Martens platform shoes that have gracefully carried me through five Melbourne Comedy Festival seasons.
What are your best hacks to save money whilst at the Fringe?
Prostrating myself before a powerful artistic patron, Ancient Roman style.
If people want to find out more about you where can they follow you on social media?
@scoutboxall on pretty much everything!
And Finally in three words – Why should people come and see the show?
Sharp, perfect, life-affirming.
