Hello! Tell us all about your shows!

Well I’m presenting five, four of which I’ve directed, one of which I have dramaturged. 111/2 ANGRY MEN is a parody of the classic Reginald Rose 12 Angry Men, performed with an all comedian cast including Joe Pasquale, Stephen K Amos, Tom Stade & Phil Nichol.

What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?

I haven’t had time to look at what else is on yet, but many in my company are also doing other shows too, so I’ll see their shows, and then pick up other tips after about a week up there… usually in a bar setting, recommended lots of beautiful, charismatic people!

Have you done the fringe before? What are the key pieces of advice you have been given or would give to new groups or people performing at the fringe.

Yes: I’ve produced 150+ shows over 32 years (except 2020 – Covid) The only advice I have is to bring your very best work, cover all your bases, and network as hard as you can. The Fringe is not a holiday, it’s a professional showcase with a lot of fun and entertainment thrown in, and hopefully, no debt. Take it very seriously, but enjoy the magic.

Talk us through your daily routine for a day at the Fringe

As I’m pushing 5 shows, 4 of which I’m directing within 6 hours, I have a full day every day before I can relax and see other shows.

Ok, where is your favourite place to eat at the Fringe?

For many years (Being of Italian heritage) it was Bar Napoli, then Gusto. Now in Old Town it’s Ciao Roma!

Best thing about performing at the fringe?

Thinking back – as I’m only Producing and directing this year – it’s the buzz of attracting an audience and then giving them something to remember – and be grateful to everone who buys a ticket to see you!

What are your best hacks to save money whilst at the Fringe?

Cut out alcohol. Cut out food and smoking…  (I don’t smoke anyway).

Do you bring anything special from home to make it feel more special whilst you are away?

A blender for my protein shakes and a grinder, a French Press and a large cup for my morning coffee.

If people want to find out more about you where can they follow you on social media?

On Facebook and Instagram. I came off Twitter because of Musk and don’t intend to return, although my company @theatretours maintains an account… And FaceBook. At 65, I’m just too old to get involved with TikTok!

And Finally in three words – Why should people come and see the shows?

Unforgettable Unmissable Brilliant.
