At This Time Of Year – Craig Phillips

It is not unusual for reality starts to release Christmas singles (most of them in recent years have been contestants from shows like the X Factor. ) and today we head back to one of the first people to do just that. The winner of the first Big Brother was Craig Phillips in the year 2000.

In the same year as winning Big Brother, Craig released a Christmas Charity single called At This Time Of Year. The track was raising money for the Down’s Syndrome Association, he had already given his prize fund of £70,000 for winning Big Brother to his friend Joanne Harris who had Down Syndrome to pay for her heart and lung transplant. The track was released through the record label of Warner Music and raised £40,000 for the charity. It was in the top 40 for three weeks and achieved silver status.
