There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them on cheesy countdowns run by music channels over Christmas if you are lucky.
So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.
Up All Night – Matt Willis
When Busted broke up each member of the band went their separate ways and did various projects and Matt Willis had a solo career and an album. I feel it was one of the most underrated tracks as it was so good and this was one of the singles on it.
Up All Night was the debut single from Matt Willis and was released on the 22nd May 2006. The song was released under the record label of Mercury and was written by Matt Willis, Julian Emery and Jason Perry. The song is all about a girl that Matt cannot get out of his head and it means that he cannot sleep at night.
The single debuted in the charts at number 52 in the UK singles chart and the week after went to number 7 when the physical copy was released. I really like this song it is really catchy and a great track.
I find it a good transition from really poppy style music that Busted had to a bit more of a rock style. I do find it a shame that Matt’s solo career was not as popular as it should of been because his debut album was really good. I think this song is catchy and effective.
