Today we talk about a game that was released on a number of platforms but the worst rated version of the game was on none other then on the Nintendo Wii. The game was released around the release to the film to tie in and was based around three iconic Chipmunks – Alvin, Simon and Theodore.
Alvin and The Chipmunks was released at the end of 2007 and was all based around the world of music. The game leads you to through a variety of music venues where you have to perform a variety of songs to the audiences. Similar to the concept of Rock Band, the aim of the player is to play the instruments in time to the beat.
The game has a number of popular tracks on the setlist including All The Small Things by Blink-182, It’s Tricky by Run-D.M.C and even Heartbreak Hotel by Elvis Presley. When you have completed enough tracks, usually three at a venue, it unlocks a new location. The reason why you are performing at so many different venues is so that by the end of the game you have enough popularity to save their favourite venue.
The game was published by Brash Entertainment and Developed by Sensory Sweep Studios. The game can have up to two players where you can compete against each other.
The game was welcome with a lot of negative reviews with people criticising the bad control and flimsy structure. It has been rated by a lot of members of the public as really bad gameplay and not worth the money.
