Tell us a little bit about your style of show?

BEIGE is a darkly funny, physical theatre piece that sits somewhere between satire and something very real. It follows a woman being coached into becoming more “palatable” until she slowly loses touch with who she actually is. It’s playful, uncomfortable at times, and very honest. We work a lot with physicality, rhythm, and direct address, so it feels quite immediate and alive.

What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?

Honestly I’m really excited to just discover work. Camden Fringe always has such a mix of styles and voices, so I’m looking forward to seeing things I wouldn’t normally choose and being surprised by them.

How are rehearsals going?

Intense but exciting. We’re still shaping the piece and finding the balance between humour and something deeper underneath. There are moments that suddenly click and you realise what the show actually wants to be, and those are the best days.

What is the best thing about performing at the Camden fringe?

The freedom. You can take risks, try things out, and bring work that doesn’t have to fit into a specific box. There’s a real sense of artists just doing their thing and supporting each other.

London can be an expensive place to perform in – what key advice would you give to performers that is a sort of life hack?

Keep your production simple and focus on what really matters. You don’t need a lot of money to make something strong. Also build a small team you trust, that makes everything easier and more sustainable.

Who would be your ultimate dream audience member?

Someone who didn’t expect to relate to the show but suddenly sees themselves in it. That moment where it hits a bit too close is the most interesting.

The iconic image of the Camden Fringe is the Pigeon – if you could call this years pigeon a name to represent its style what would it be and why?

I would call it “Almost Perfect” because it looks like it fits in, but if you look closer something is slightly off. Which feels very BEIGE.

And Finally in three words – Why should people come and see the show?

Brutal. Playful. Honest.
