Hello! Tell us all about your show!

One Hour Wedding is a high-stakes, crowd-built ceremony where the audience becomes the wedding planners and we (Roz and Rachel) have got just sixty minutes to pull off a REAL LIFE WEDDING, complete with the legalities!

From the entrance song decided upon on the fly to a first dance choreographed in real time, hosts Roz and Rachel, armed with backgrounds in music, theatre, general event chaos, and now, official marriage celebrancy, are putting their skills to dangerously entertaining use.

The couple have said yes. Now every other decision is the audience’s.

What’s the theme? The music? The vows? The dance? The disaster?

What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?

Batsu

Yoah

I love immersive theatre so I’ll try anything that has takes me there!

I also love contemporary music so will go and see anything that speaks to me in that context.

Have you done the fringe before? What are the key pieces of advice you have been given or would give to new groups or people performing at the fringe.

Yes, R and R Productions bought All Fired Up, an 80’s Mixed Tape Musical to Fringe last year. We played Studio 1 for the Assembly. We had an incredible time!

I would say don’t go too hard too early. The fringe is a marathon and not a sprint. Enjoy and take in every minute. What an amazing excuse to watch a range of performing arts and theatre almost 24 hours a day. Meet people. Put yourself out there. Stay open. You just never know who (or what) is around the bend. Sleep when you can.

Talk us through your daily routine for a day at the Fringe

Sleep in.

Go to late morning brunch at one of the eateries around George Square.

A spot of opp shopping on your way back to your apartment.

More coffee.

Go over notes of your show the previous night (showing my nerdy side)

Go and see a couple of mid-day shows

Back to the apartment

Sleep for 2 hrs

Wake up

Get ready for One Hour Wedding  – on goes bridesmaid dresses and babies breath in hair.

Walk to Bristo Square

Do the show!

Have champagne with the happy couple!

Watch a late-night show

Late night munchies.

Sleep!

Repeat.

Ok, where is your favourite place to eat at the Fringe?

Oh – there was a fabulous Thai place near Underbelly Bristo Square – I think I ate there 3 times a week during 2025’s fringe – Ting Thai! YUUUUUM.

Best thing about performing at the fringe?

The absolute variety and depth of talent on display in every corner of Edinburgh during this time. It feels magical and unexpected and just the best place on earth!

Do you bring anything special from home to make it feel more special whilst you are away?

I will have my acoustic guitar with me this season, so that makes me feel right at home.

Plus pics of my dog. She’s my bestie.

What are your best hacks to save money whilst at the Fringe?

Sleep in till late, don’t eat till 1pm, after the show find bars with complementary tapas, use your underbelly pass to get 10% off food and drink in appropriate bars, make friends with locals!
