Hello! Tell us all about your show!

It’s a comedy rave! What the hell is that? Standup performed over big beats. And I promise it’s way less shit than you might think. This show was born out of a show Ive been doing out the fringe for a few years called Late Night Comedy Rave, which is a proper 2 hour rave with comics doing bits from time to time. This show takes that concept and puts it into the format of an hour fringe show – for a start the audience are sat, there’s a theme and a narrative, I take you on the emotional journey of a night out. I’m loving doing the show at previews, just come back from Sydney and Perth festival and I can’t wait for Edinburgh…

What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?

Dan Tiernan, Paddy Young, Bella Hull, Ed Night, Mike Rice, Davina Bentley, Geoffrey Asmus

Have you done the fringe before? What are the key pieces of advice you have been given or would give to new groups or people performing at the fringe.

Yeh I’ve done two hours, at the fringe now as well as building up to that for like 5 years. Big tip is go out, have fun, it’s a festival and you should be meeting people not resting your voice..unfortunately, I’m pretty sure I’m right.

Talk us through your daily routine for a day at the Fringe

My show is late and so I get up late. My body clock is like Tokyo or something. So I get up lunch, maybe have a delicious lunch somewhere to ensure I make £0 overall. Then I’ll try see one show at some point. Depdendent on when in fringe I’ll work on show, try and write new things, listen to show from night before.

Then this year I’m hosting cult show Comedy in the Dark which I think is like 7/8pm so I’ll go do that – it’s awesome show I’ve been part of before, like nothing else you will see at fringe, because you can’t see anything. I’ll go and do my solo show 10pm Cab Vol II which will be a nightly transcendence into the realm of greatness, then I’ll go and meet my friends in a bar somewhere.

Ok, where is your favourite place to eat at the Fringe?

10 to 10 Delhi. Chicken Domuda. Hands down.

Best thing about performing at the fringe?

Being totally submerged in the world of comedy. Most other aspects of life fall away, and that’s all I’m focussed on, doing, watching and talking about comedy. It’s mental, not good for you, but aren’t most fun things?

Do you bring anything special from home to make it feel more special whilst you are away?

I never have but I probably should. I’m not a big homecomforts guy. Maybe I should bring my Bassoon I’m learning to play- housemates will love that.

What are your best hacks to save money whilst at the Fringe?

Don’t eat. Demand a full refund after every show.

If people want to find out more about you where can they follow you on social media?

@Floodhaha is my handle, come and have a look.

And Finally in three words – Why should people come and see the show?

Comedy Rave Baby.
