The Travel Book – Travel Through A Photo – La Ciotat, France

There is always a story behind a photograph and I thought it would be a fun way to look at the world of travel. So, welcome to the feature that will appear regularly in the travel section.

I love the sea, you can take hundreds of photographs of the ocean in any part of the world and you will never have the same photograph twice. Today’s photo is a close up of the sea in France and we have lots to talk about.

La Ciotat is located just up the coast from Marseille, which means being located on this coastline is really beautiful. It is so blue and see through and that is why this photograph exists.

I really like this photograph as it creates a happy memory – hot sun shining down, feet in the sea and fresh air – it just makes me smile when I look at it and also reminds me of a great time.

I adore the colours in the photograph of bright bold blue in the back and the way it develops the colour into the light gradient near the font. The colours are glistening and you can really tell it was a hot day which makes the sea look very inviting.

It is a great photograph and always makes me smile to see it.
