Here at The Phoenix Remix, we have been sent some previews of shows heading to the Edinburgh Fringe. So over the next few weeks, we will be reviewing these so that you can keep an eye on them or potentially go and see them at the festival. The Phoenix remix will also be at the festival this year so we will be posting more reviews throughout August.

It is always interesting watching comedian’s when they approach the stage, everyone is different and it can really set up the tone of the show. Alex Kitson is bold, lots of energy, excitable and what some people define as ‘golden retriever’ energy.

Welcome to his world, where everything from Tiverton, language, the royals and relationships plus much more are delved into. The audience laughter is non-stop and loud. His persona on stage is so electric that it makes you feel that you are in a room with a friend you have known for ages.

It is a show that is full of quick paced jokes, the audience are interacted with ever so often and some random surprises happen in the set that are fun and heighten the comedy. Alex is quick witted and the hour goes by in a flash because of his liveliness and vibrancy.

It may be on at 22:55 at night but I urge you to buy a ticket to this show – it is hilarious, it is well written and just pure fun. It is a show that is going to be talked about and you don’t want to miss out on it. Alex Kitson is definitely a comedian you need to keep an eye on.
