Tell us about:
Your latest single you have released:
The Wanderer
Your favourite lyric in this song:
This is an avante garde piece if experimental music the Vocal is used as an instrument rather that lyrics
Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:
I wrote a song called Death plays the final chord it was a throw away lime from a John Lydon interview I took it and recorded the song it really punches along with a grinding guitar and powerful Kick snare drum.
Your favourite song to play live:
This has to be Death Plays The Final Chord due to its simplicity and powerful energy from the opening chord
The song that was the longest to write and why?
Driving The Rhythm Of My Mind its theme is Mental Health awareness thats a great topic that needs to be talked about and normalised
Your most emotional track:
Make People Happy after the heavy topics of Death and Mental Health it was fitting to lift the vibe and say live each day like its your last, have fun and be positive. Emotionally this transitioned well with the project pathway as a writer and a composer
Dream collaboration:
Paul Simonon from The Clash and Charlotte Cooper from The Subways are my favourite bass players and fusing both their individual bass sounds and techniques would be great as a songwriter and producer Collaborations are my thing so this would be an easy day int studio for me
Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:
Its always exciting sharing your art and music with people and getting that connection from live performance and the immediacy thru audience feedback is fantastic
The hardest track to play live:
Smith Street Shuffle which was one of the early recordings with multiple effects and samples mashing up a driving energetic Punk style instrumental
Essential items you always take on tour with you?
I always write using a note pad and pen so creativity can hit me anytime day or night so them items travel everywhere with me
