We sent our reviewer Leigham to see the show Siân Docksey: Pole Yourself Together!

This show is described as “A brand-new genre-smashing philosophical dance-comedy party.” This Sounds different, and fun, I thought, and I went along intrigued about how comedy and pole dancing might be fused.

Siân’s confidence is immediately striking, she owns the stage and captures the audience from the very beginning as an intelligent storyteller and original performer.

Her performance is forthright, wild and honest. Siân bravely, and with no observable inhibitions, lays her soul and body bare in this inspiring and cheeky show.

Life can be challenging; I think we can all relate to that. Siân however, displays a truly unique, brilliant and hilarious response to universal issues. She powerfully and humorously takes charge and offers up a lot of fun, so ‘don’t panic’.

You can’t help but leave with a lot of respect for both Siân and her pole. The show is certainly genre smashing and definitely unlike any other comedy.
