REVIEW – Comedy At The Fringe – Ian Smith: Crushing

Stress, not a topic you would normally think could make an hour of stand up comedy but in the case of Ian Smith, this is a theme that is discussed throughout and makes the majority of the show… with a teeny tiny hint of an engagement breaking up but that’s just to put things in context and not a main topic.

This is a very fun stand up show, Ian is a joy to watch and there are some very fun stories discussed which he brings to life with his huge persona on stage. It is a great little insight into the world of being a Yorkshire comedian and the issues that he has to deal with being in London.

There are some fun anecdotes about pronounciation that you will find Hilarious, (yes the bold capital H is deliberate, if you see the show you will understand).

This show has a bit of something for everyone…a shocking story about Blackpool, a strong discussion about teeth and a Bratislava adventure with his hairdresser and that is only touching the surface of what’s in store.

A fun hour at Monkey Barrel in the afternoon and it’s a show that you Have to Head down to.
