Hello! Tell us about yourself?

My name is Jamie Finn, I’m a Leo. I’m an Actor & Musical Comedian. I studied acting at Central School of Speech and Drama. I was a regional Finalist for the BBC New Comedy Awards 2021 and I’ve just finished filming on the Brian Epstein biopic ‘Midas Man’.

How did you come up with the name of your show that you’re taking to the Fringe?

Everyone kept sending me pictures of the poster of ‘Everyone’s Talking About Jamie’ and genuinely kept asking me if it was my show. So, when starting to write this show, it felt only natural to include my truth – that Nobody was really talking about Jamie.

Tell us all about your show!

It’s a show about platonic love, heartbreak, and the wilderness years of my twenties! It’s very funny. I promise.

What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the Fringe?

One of my favourite up and coming comedians, Alexandra Haddow’s debut hour – ‘Not My Finest Hour’ – is sure to be brilliant!

I also can’t wait to see ‘Police Cops The Musical’ – they so funny!

Have you done the Fringe before? What are the key pieces of advice you have been given or would give to new groups or people performing at the Fringe.

Yes – in-between second and third year at drama school we took a play to the fringe for the whole month, and it was such a learning experience.

My advice would be, if you have strong willpower, try not to go out every night and also eat some veg!

What have been some of your favourite shows to date and why?

I loved Liz Kingman’s ‘One Woman Show’ it was truly extraordinary!

Favourite one liner you have done in a show and why?

‘I can’t sext, the aim is to turn you one but I’ll probably make you depressed’

What have been some of the most unique and different comedy shows you have seen this year and why?

Luke Rollinson is such a unique and talented artist! Would recommend seeing any of his live shows.

What is the best way to enjoy yourself at the Fringe?

I find crying in the bath really helps!

Best thing about performing at the Fringe?

Crying in the bath after the show.

The most challenging thing about performing at the Fringe?

Getting out the bath after crying

What would be your top three items every performer must take to the Fringe?

Jaffa cakes. Comfy shoes and an open heart!

What’s the secret to successful flyering?

Be yourself!

Who would be your ultimate dream audience member?

Ainsely Harriet or Rod Stewart.
