How did you come up with the name of your show that you’re taking to the Fringe?

Based off the cult novel by Angela S. Choi of the same name.

Tell us all about your show!

HELLO KITTY MUST DIE is a darkly comedic musical that follows Fiona Yu, a high achieving, but highly disillusioned Chinese-American woman. Through a ruthless combination of sex, violence, and stilettos, Fiona reclaims her anger and takes revenge on the world. This deliciously wicked tale takes your expectations of family, dating, and your favourite cartoon cat and tears them to shreds.

What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the Fringe?

The Box Show, I’ve Got Some Things to Get Off My Chest, 1990 Child from Wuhan: Trauma, Love, Diarrhoea, An Asian Queer Story: Coming Out to Dead People, The Asian Comedy Showcase, The Society for New Cuisine

Who would be your ultimate dream audience member?

Hello Kitty herself in all her glory.

If people want to find out more about you, where can they follow you on social media?

And finally, in three words – Why should people come and see the show?

Sex, violence [and] stilettos
