Tell us about:
Your latest single you have released:
Police and Thieves is a Reggae track by Junior Murvin and Lee Scratch Perry that The Clash covered in the 80s that I used to play when I was busker I thought it would be good to record it now that I have change how I play and use the studio technology skills that I have developed over the years to see how it sounded and It really like it. I used Loops Samples and layers of Bass and Guitar slightly changed the chord progression its got a whole different energy with a modified reggae vibe now
Your first single and how you felt when it was released:
That was in January 2021 and called Another Hang it has a Surf Punk sound it was incredible I realised I could record upload and distribute all by myself with no Record label contract or affiliations
Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:
I released a song called Death Plays The Final Chord its a line I heard from Johnny Rotten in an interview and I thought I would Rip that quote off him and write a song. It’s a great little Punk song that kicks along but has a good little story about a taboo subject
Your favourite song to play live:
Smith Street Shuffle because its a Cranking driving Guitar driven instrumental track
Your most emotional track:
I released a song called Driving The Rhythm Of My Mind late last year and its about Mental Health I was seeing a lot of issues in the community as We navigated out of Lockdown here in Melbourne and I wanted to discuss that in my music. I think I touched on that subject in a very Positive way.
The best lyric you have ever written:
This wound it never heals its like a bad pain
Turning Me upside
Turning Me insane
( Driving The Rhythm Of My Mind )
Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:
Im a mess I get some anxiety that hangs around for the first song then slowly diminishes through the set
The hardest track to play live:
Dig Deep Dig Beats as I have use Loops and Samples in the live environment so I have to navigate on stage with computers as well as Guitar and Bass and its composition structure is a little complex in that it stops and starts
Essential items you always take on tour with you?
My Capo after years of playing guitar I started using a capo 2 years ago and it has changed my world how I writ and play songs
Describe your fans in three words:
Persistent Resistant Activists
A song by another artist or band you wish you had written:
Gimmee Some Truth its a John Lennon song that has a real Punk vibe in fact Billy Idol released a version of it when he was in Generation X around 1979
