Taste Of States – This Week – Reese’s Colliders

Welcome To Taste of States a place where we celebrate the weird and wonderful food of the United States of America. This can be everything from the snacks that are available for a limited time to the foods that are classic traditions at events such as Christmas and Thanksgiving! Each week we will explore the facts and the history surrounding a different food.

REESE’S COLLIDERS

If you love peanut butter, then you will be a fan of Reese’s but did you know that in the United States they also have a range of desserts that are made by the brand? Yes, that is correct there are a range of desserts and today we are going to look at them – welcome to the world of Reese’s Colliders.

Collders are a popular brand of desserts that are known for taking popular sweet flavours and mixing them to create a new experience and in the past have done this with Rolo, Hersheys, Kit Kat and Mounds. There are two versions of the Reese Collider available and today we are going to take a look at them.

The first version is called a Layered Collider – this is sort of like a layered style yoghurt. The dessert consists of a layer of smooth peanut butter dessert that is then topped with milk chocolate topping. The other version of the Collider is the Twisted – this is a similar sort of thing but instead it has a base of vanilla and instead of having the flavours of Reese broken up they are instead present in butter cup crumbles. Both desserts have the same amount of calories at 220 per serving.

There are mixed reviews online in regards to it’s flavour, whilst a lot of people state that it does not taste of Reese’s they do mention that it has a nice taste.
