This month it is Halloween so what better way to celebrate the event hen by looking at a few Halloween based computer games. Zombies Ate My Neighbours was released on the Super NES in 1993, it was developed by Lucasarts and published by Konami and Lucasarts.
Zombies Ate My Neighbours was a single or cooperate game where you play as Zeke and Julie and you have to go to different areas rescuing your neighbours from common monsters seen in horror movies including vampires, werewolves, mummies, UFOs, spiders and of course zombies.
In the game there are 48 stages for you to complete and you gain many weapons and power ups to help you to rescue various neighbours such as barbecue chefs, babies, tourists, cheerleaders and dogs to name a few. If an enemy touches them they automatically die. If all the neighbours are killed you lose all your lives and you will die and it will be game over.
The game received lots of positive reviews and instantly became a cult classic and people liked it’s tongue and cheek humour.
