Have you ever wanted To listen to a new band or musician and not sure where to start? Well, instead of listening to their commercial music, why not start with something off the album first! Today we look at the debut album by I DON’T KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME that was released only yesterday- RAZZMATAZZ
The great thing about this band is that they are very good at keeping to a theme throughout their music to make everything sort of interlink and this electronic sound can be found in a lot of their music but styled in different ways. This song is really catchy and the bass is sort of highlighted in this song to create a sense of echo to the track. The style of singing is quite retro and unique which makes this song very striking.
Nobody Likes The Opening Band
This is a really pretty track and very different to other tracks on the album it focusses solely on the piano and it really makes it unique and a a musical magical melody to listen to. It is one of those songs that would sit pretty nicely in a musical as maybe the song to open up the second half.
From The Gallows
This is a really interesting song, it has the soulful sound makings of a lovely romantic track but it has this obscure part throughout where there are words spoken but instead of a human singing it there is this recorded voice that reads it which is very clever as the voice is a call back to the EP before this album. I think this is personally one of my favourite albums on the track it is so clever and has so many elements to this track that it is hard to define them here – just listen to it.
I Need You Here
This song is one of the slower ones on the album and it focusses on combining the piano with melodic interludes and it creates this really great listening experience. It is a song with some really lovely lyrics and the emotion can be heard through the singing and the melodies of the instruments. This album takes you on an adventure and this being near the end feels like it is leading you to a really dramatic ending. In the song there is also words spoken by a daughter of one of the members of the band and again it really emphasises the emotion in the song. The high pitched singing throughout also creates drama.
