Welcome to a brand new feature that is going to run for this month – this April we are going to celebrate the world of Books! The last few weeks and months we have all been part of a weird world to say the least so this month we thought it would be nice to talk about something that allows you to escape even if it just for a chapter at a time. So this month we are taking on the 30 Day Book Challenge and looking at a different topic each day, enjoy!

Day 28: Favourite Title
NAME OF BOOK:  Parsnip’s Buttered, Joe Lycett

parsni[sAs you have probably gathered from this months challenge, whilst I read a lot of physical books, I tend to read a lot on my Kindle as well. However, if I find a book that I really like the idea of,  I will make an effort to purchase a physical copy. One book I went above and beyond to buy a real version of was this book by Joe Lycett.

The first reason I wanted to read this book is because I adore Joe Lycett, he is just a lovable character and a very good stand up comedian and when he announced the name of the book I was like ‘That is so Joe Lycett.” The book title Parsnip’s Buttered is so random and it is a great title that you just want it on your book shelf. Also imagine the conversations starters a book title like that can start! If you didn’t know who Joe Lycett was you would probably think it was a book about cookery. I find it hilarious that you would then end up discovering that it isn’t about cooking but about ‘How to win at modern life, one email at a time.’

Parsnips Buttered is a book like no other, it is a book that looks at Joe taking on the world with little disputes – everythng from a parking ticket fine to dealing with trolls on the internet. The whole book is full of drawings and doodles by Joe and it is there to highlight the tales being made.

If you are a fan of his Channel 4 Show Joe Lycett’s Got Your Back then you will lvoe this book as I am sure this is where the idea originated from. Fun Title, Fun Book.
