Dragprov Revue – INTERVIEW – Quick Fire Round

This month we are super excited to be going behind the scenes of the world of Drag Improv with two of the biggest acts on the scene – Dragprov and The Bareback Kings. Every week we are going to talk to both groups to find out just how much goes into creating a successful set of shows

march 2020

This afternoon, we talk to an act that are making a strong mark in both the improv and comedy world – Dragprov Revue . They have had raving reviews for their shows (including a five star one from The Phoenix Remix ) and back in 2018 we even awarded them  Act of The Year in The Phoenix Remix Awards. We end off the interview in good old classic tradition – the quick fire round.

If you could have any three people (dead or alive) over for dinner – who would they be?

Anna Mann, Oscar Wilde, the Ghost of Christmas Present

What’s the best piece advice you’ve received?

Never eat more than you can lift’ – Miss Piggy

Do you have any pets?

CATS! Both jellicle and otherwise.

If you could be from any other decade (or era), which would it be?

Probably the 80s, we’d be New Romantics and utterly insufferable.

If you had to have a tattoo to represent improv what would you have and why?

A horse with a crown. Once in an Imps rehearsal, a character emerged called the Horse King and the somewhat confusing scene ended with everyone skipping off to follow him. It was noted that in improv, sometimes, you’ve just got to follow the Horse King.

What’s on your music playlists right now?

Francesca probably has a whole lot of Dear Evan Hansen and Fun Home, while Ed has more Carly Rae Jepsen and Nicki Minaj than is decent.

Who would play you in the movie of your life?

Bert and Ernie.

If you had one superpower, what would it be?

To actually be able to fully remove glitter.
