- Sutton Foster (Liza Miller) admitted that she went to Hilary Duff (Kelsey Peters) for fashion inspiration during filming for the first season.
- Thorbjørn Harr, who plays the Swedish writer Anton Bjornberg, is actually Norwegian. In the series he speaks Swedish.
