Whether they have been going for years, a week or got cancelled we have got them all. Welcome to the world of game shows. This week we look at a gameshow that involved a lot of questions! – Ask Rhod Gilbert
Channel – BBC One
First Aired – 27th September 2010
Hosted by Comedians – Rhod Gilbert
Series – 2
Summary Of Show – A comedy panel show where the guests and hosts are asked a number of questions by the audience and they attempt to find the answer.
About the Show
The show was based all around the world of questions – in each episode of the show well known television personalities and members of the public asks Rhod and his guests about various topics. He had two regular panelists on the show that appeared on most of the episodes and they were Greg Davies and Lloyd Langford.
To answer questions the guests and Rhod have to do studio demonstrations, experiments, archive clips, live phone calls and much more. Some of the guests that have appeared on the show include Jo Brand, Micky Flanagan, Adam Hills, Sarah Millican, Edith Bowman and Russell Kane.
The first series did not really follow a structure but in the second season, the show became more formatted and had rounds that would be played every week. The show would start off with the round called ‘A Famous Face Asks’ where a set of famous people will ask a question. Round Two was called ‘The World Asks’ which was focussed on the public asking questions that have been recorded from various parts of the world. Round three was called ‘The Audience Asks’ which was a quick fire round from the audience and the final round was called ‘Our Special Guests Asks.’
The show only lasted for two seasons as it was dropped from the BBC which Rhod Gilbert revealed in 2013.
