Have you ever wanted To listen to a new band or musician and not sure where to start? Well, instead of listening to their commercial music, why not start with something off the album first! Today we talk about an artist that went viral a with the song Call Me Maybe years ago and has even had Tom Hanks in her videos – Carly Rae Jepson

Money and The Ego – Tug of War Album

This song is full of lots of lovely acoustic guitars and whilst it is a pop album it has a sense of a indie and country feel to it as well. It is a song with a really nice musical set up for the chorus and whilst it is mellow it is one of the best album tracks on here.

Sweet Talker – Tug of War album

This is another song that has a real indie feel to it even though that it is from a pop album. This is the first album that Carly released after coming third in Canadian Idol so that is probably why it was to make it stand out from the crowd. This song is quite mellow but it is a real summer chilled vibe to it that you will enjoy with the lyrics that are intertwined.

Tiny Little Bows – Kiss album

This is the album that has one of the biggest singles of 2012 on it so the track has a lot to live up to and the opening track is much poppier then the first album and it has a fun and dancey feel to it. This is definitely a track that you open up with when you are under the spotlight for the singles that you are releasing.

More Than A Memory – Kiss album

A song that follows a hit single on an album track can either be very good or really disappointing and luckily this is one of those songs that is really catchy. This song has a really catchy chorus and again has a very strong pop vibe to it. The great thing about this album is that is feels like summer and this song will not disappoint you if you put it on in the car as it feels like a driving track.

Gimmie Love – Emotion album

This album has a completely different feel to the Kiss one as it fousses more on the dance music style feel then the pop music sensation. This song really highlights the style that is on this album. It is more focussed on the style expressing emotion then the actual focus on the punchy chorusses. The lyrics may be simple but they are effective and fun. A good song of the album.
