About: It’s not everyday that you associate a comedy show with Porno, especially a podcast and it is even RARER to have a Podcast that is so popular that due to high demand it has to tour around the country – including the iconic Royal Albert Hall. Yes, you heard that correctly, porn is coming to the Royal Albert Hall.
Now, if you have not heard of this really popular podcast then let me welcome you to it now. My Dad Wrote a Porno is a British comedy podcast hosted by Jamie Morton, James Cooper and Alice Levine. Jamies father has decided in his retirement to write his own series of erotic fiction and it is like nothing you have ever heard before. With bad grammar, ridiculous descriptions and questionable plot lines – these books have been the centre of comedy and have created a cult like following.
The podcast has had over a whopping 100 million downloads worldwide and has lead to hueg A list stars appearing in a mid week show called Footnotes as the show has grown from strength to strength. Past guests have included Elijah Wood, George Ezra, Joe Lycett and Michael Sheen.
If you want to go to this live show expect a lot of laughter from them reading parts of the books, discussions involving pomegranates that may make you never look at one in the same way again and a lot of embarrassment for poor Jamie.
