Yes, we have taken a break from our weekly blogging. With our new Sunday show format and the many guest teachers we had over the past couple of months, something had to give and we fell short on our blogging.
That doesn’t mean we haven’t been plotting and we have a lot planned to share with you over the next few weeks. Many lessons learned these past couple months we want to share with you and many future plans to blurt out!
Today, we want to talk about Jonathan Pitts. He’s the co-founder and executive producer of the Chicago Improv Festival which has been running for 20 years! Last year, he also created and produced the first ever Chicago Podcast Festival. All in all, he’s been involved in improvisational theatre and scripted theatre for 35 years.
You can listen to him talk to Jimmy Carrane about his improv career, including his time with Del Close himself, on the Improv Nerd Podcast.
He’s in London this month and he’ll be teaching the Silent Movie with us, form he created and which incorporates clowning, ensemble work, over-acting, hyper-physicality, and listening with your eyes, since no-one on stage is saying anything.
Book your spot here to come and try your luck filling Charlie Chaplin’s shoes!
