+The white computer terminal seen on the right of the bridge of the ship is a Commodore CBM-series, popular in the late 1980s.

+ The control panel used on the alien ship is a Grass Valley video switcher. A similar Grass Valley switcher was used as the control panel for the Death Star in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope (1977).

+ Two of the three alien races seen are very similar to aliens depicted in other television series. The lizard men like V (1984) (with plastic human skin covering) and the Don the White (like a Castithan alien from Defiance (2013).
