Hello! Tell us about your act ?

My show is about an actor being interviewed as he reflects on his career, and features lots of different characters he’s played . It’s a lot of fun with a wee bit of a narrative threaded through.

How did you come up with the name of your show that you are taking to the Brighton fringe?

The show is about a self-involved and vain actor, reflecting on his career, so mirrors seemed a good theme, and then I added Infinity to make it even more pretentious.

Tell us a little bit about your style of show?

The show is a character comedy that combines sketch, musical comedy, clowning, and a bit of improv. It’s very dumb and very silly. There’s something for everyone. Except for people who don’t like to laugh. There’s nothing for them.

What can people expect from your Brighton Fringe performance?

Lots of fun jokes and songs and things that might fail spectacularly.

What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?

Ben Goldsmith’s “Crimelandtown” and Chris East’s “MY BRAIN IS SOUP, YOUR HANDS ARE THE SPOONS”. They are both wonderful and weird performers who are developing shows for Edinburgh Fringe and everyone should go see them before they are huge. I’m also taking part in a top secret show called “Boy Band” which will be very fun.

How are the rehearsals going?

Really well, thanks for asking! About half productive half despair at the moment. I’m having lots of fun and discovering new things every time I do it. Some bits are very rough ideas still, and Brighton will be a great opportunity to try out some new stuff.

Have you done the fringe before? What have been some of your favourite shows to date and why?

I love Brighton Fringe! It was the first fringe I ever did and still holds a special place in my heart. There’s always loads of good stuff on. I remember seeing Zack Zucker and Viggo Venn’s show “Thunderflop” in like 2016, and it was my first experience with clowning and it just blew my mind.

What advice would you give to others who want to perform at Brighton Fringe next year?

Do it! It’s a nice festival close to London that has a fun arts scene and really savvy audiences. Go down and have a look for yourself this year. Stay with my friend Hugh.

What is the best thing about performing at the Brighton fringe?

The audiences are really savvy and generally up for a good time. I also like visiting my friend Hugh and staying at his very nice house.

What are your three favourite things about Brighton?

My friend Hugh’s house. The bed that is in my friend Hugh’s house. And the sea. Which is not in my friend Hugh’s house, but don’t hold that against him.

Leafleting and promotion through the streets of Brighton is a huge part of the festival – what are your tips for flyering?

Don’t be afraid to have a genuine interaction with people! People generally are much more up for chat than you expect.

Tell us about your average day on a festival show run?

I wake up at Hugh’s house, and feel very thankful that I know Hugh. What a good friend who lets me stay at his house. Eventually, I leave Hugh’s house and feel sad that I am no longer at Hugh’s house. From there it’s all downhill.

Performing by the sea as well, that surely makes the fringe all that much more fun?

It is nice to know that no matter how big your show is, the sea is still bigger. Which is comforting in a sort of nihilistic way.

Who would be your ultimate dream audience member?

I’d really like it if my friend Hugh came and watched the show. I’ll be staying at his house so you’d think it would be rude for him not to, but we’ll see.

If people want to find out more about you where can they follow you on social media?

Follow me on instagram @mike.kunze510  I’m also on twitter and post there roughly once every three years so have a look at that if you want the deep cuts

And Finally finish this sentence – ‘you should see our show at Brighton Fringe because….

It’s loads of fun and if you don’t come I will never leave your house Hugh.
