It is always great to find out about places to visit for food when you go somewhere new. I visited Burntisland the other week and saw a lot of people queuing outside a bakery. I was intrigued about what all the fuss was about and one of the locals I spoke to said it was an amazing bakery and worth the wait so decided to queue up and find out what was so special about it.

Sunrise Bakehouse is located on the high street of Burntisland in Fife. It is an Artisan bakery that is only open three days a week – Thursday, Friday and Saturday between the times of 9:30am and 4pm. It is a family run bakery that specialises in sourdough bread and pastries.

So why are there queues outside? Well everything is made on the site – breads, quiche, focaccia, cakes and buns. The prices are not cheap however if you purchase anything you will understand why – you are paying for quality.

I would recommend giving this place a visit if you ever find yourself in Burntisland.
