When you visit London, it can be really hard to decide what museums to go and visit as there are so many to chose from. Whilst you have the most popular ones such as The Science Museum, History Museum and V&A to name a few, there are some just off the beaten track that deserves a look in. Today we are going to be looking at one of those.

The Postal Museum is located near to Farringdon Train Station about a twenty minute walk. It is open everyday between 10am-5pm. It is a museum that delves into the history of the postal communications in London and the underground networks that it used to rely on.

You have to book your tickets in advance so that you can book your position on the postal train which is a 15 minute journey underground showing the historic rail lines. It also shows the story of the history with interactive graphics. The trains are quite small so be warned that your bags need to be locked up whilst you for round. It is a weird feeling on a small train but it is unique and really interesting.

They have exhibitions throughout the year and one of the main events is The Jolly Postman celebrating forty years of the book and the stories.

It is a really fun and great museum and I would recommend going as it is underrated.
