It is festival season and that means that in the next month there is so many great comedy festivals to look forward to! This month we are looking at some of the great shows that you can see at the Edinburgh Fringe. So take note because we are going to give you all the information you need for just a handful of some of the great shows happening this year!

My show is really about unmasking as an autistic person but also my frustration with how the creative industry is going down a path of soulless commercialism ( see many of the recent Disney live action remakes and that Hollywood is not taking risks or Amanda knox doing a run at the fringe though she has not been doing comedy in any shape or form for long), which leads to the question do I have a place in society if creativity is not being valued as much or perhaps it is an excuse to have a cabbage do a strip tease.
What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?
I am really looking forward to watching James Acaster and Jordan Brookes, Max Norman is doing a new show and I really enjoyed there last one and interesting what they will do with their Character Coco as I greatly enjoy her interactions with the public in museums on social media, Bec Hill is doing a new show which could be a fun watch as I am a huge fan of her puppetry and Sam Rhodes is quite a tour de force with a loop pedal.
One of my favourite acts Rosalie Minnitt ( Aka Lady Clementine) is also doing her 2nd show and she is a magnificent mighty booshy/ great big ball of chaotic energy that produces apocalyptic levels of joyous energy.
Have you done the fringe before? What are the key pieces of advice you have been given or would give to new groups or people performing at the fringe.
To book the compilation shows you want to do (so you can promote your work) as far out as possible but spread them out otherwise you will burn out and try and allow it so there is time to get between venues also try and eat when you can at the very least keep hydrated.
Talk us through your daily routine for a day at the Fringe
My daily routine at the Fringe is usually, morning I wake up do some admin, go over notes of the show and the diary, eat breakfast , go do the shows I am booked for at compilation bills , flyer , do my show , go do more comps , at some point in this I will try and eat dinner and see other shows if there is time ( I am a bit of a workaholic) , I will then spend the evening socialising with my peers usually in the pleasance courtyard but it can vary.
Ok, where is your favourite place to eat at the Fringe?
Cafe Keno does some absolute fantastic French toast and I like to eat their when i can ( honestly i went so much in 23 i think my show should be sponsored by them).
Best thing about performing at the fringe?
The fringe gives me a platform showcase my particular brand of unique absurdist comedy and be celebrated for it , I have been nominated for the Malcom Hardee award for originality twice and if someone such as Steve Bennett of Chortle is proclaiming that your work is guaranteed “you’ll see things that you definitely won’t experience anywhere else in comedy.” Then that is high praise indeed.
Do you bring anything special from home to make it feel more special whilst you are away?
books on the occult and a sacrificial bowl so i can communicate with home( I don’t bring anything but what I need).
What are your best hacks to save money whilst at the Fringe?
Go mosque kitchen it is quite good value for money and the bottle of mango lassi can keep you going for a fair bit (it is food and hydration best of both worlds) , also I buy the lobster and chips when I feel earnt the lobster and chips (which means maybe once or twice at fringe).
