Tell Us about:
Your latest single you have released:
Home Sweet Home (Sweet Misery) – released May 1st
Your favourite lyric in this song:
“I argue with myself most every night, I’m usually wrong, he’s usually right.”
Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:
It’s a song called “I Hate the Way I Love You” which is on the upcoming RSR album this summer. I love the guitar riff and the chorus melody.
Your favourite song to play live:
RSR hasn’t toured…yet, but “Our Last Parade” is super fun one to play.
The song that was the longest to write and why?
For this album, songs just seemed to write themselves and everything was quick to finish. I think it was because I stepped away and took time off in 2021 to recharge. So, there wasn’t one song that was stubborn or took took a while to write. This whole album, and all the songs that were written for it, all came gushing out. I actually had to stop writing or else I’d have to release an album of 40 songs.
One of your previous tracks you would recommend for first time listeners of your music and why?
Our Last Parade is a good representation of RSR. It has the energy and the feel of what the music of is all about. Riffs and melodies
Dream collaboration:
Eddie Van Halen & Pee Wee Herman
Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:
It honestly feels like home sweet home, (without the misery).
Essential items you always take on tour with you?
Baby wipes and all your leftover coins.
Describe your fans in three words:
The absolute best.
A song released in the last few years by an artist or band you wish you had written:
Hmm, I never have that feeling. Mainly because that’s their song and their energy, which is uniquely theirs.
What we can look forward to from your band this year:
Single #3 should be out soon, and the full debut album to be released this summer. Then, we’re looking to hit the road and hit as many cities and countries as we can. Suit up and join us!
