There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.
Why – DJ Sammy
Today we are delving into the world of electronic dance music and looking at a track by DJ Sammy that you may of forgotten about existed.
In June 2005, DJ Sammy released the single Why. It may sound familiar as a track because it is his remix of the popular song by musician Annie Lennox. This particular version had the vocals of German singer Britta Medeiros. It was the second single to be released from DJ Sammy’s third studio album called The Rise.
The single was produced by Martin Eyever and Oliver Laib and released under the record labels of Ministry of Sound and Data.
The single did reasonably well in the charts and went into the top 30 in Australia (29), Ireland (16) and US Dance Radio (6). In the United Kingdom it went into the top 40 at chart position 7.
