Sunday Book Club: A Murder Of Crows, Sarah Yarwood-Levitt

Every Sunday we are taking a look at the world of books. I read a lot and always want to share my opinions on what I read, so I thought it would be fun to write reviews. Today we are looking at a book about a murder and animals…

A Murder Of Crows (2022)

Sarah Yarwood-Levitt

Synopsis

Dr Nell Ward is an ecologist, not a detective. But when she’s the prime suspect in a murder, only her unique set of skills could help to clear her name…

In the sleepy village of Cookingdean, Dr Nell Ward is busy working in the grounds of a local manor house. Whilst inspecting an old tunnel, she did not expect to overhear a murder. As the only person with any clues as to what happened, Nell soon finds herself in the middle of the investigation.

Desperate to clear her name Nell, along with her colleague Adam, set out solving the murder using their skills as ecologists to uncover details no one else would notice. But it soon becomes clear that playing Agatha Christie is much harder than it might, at first appear…

Positive Points

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover, that is what I originally did and was expecting a book like Richard Osmand’s but it is not. Personally it is so much better. It is a book with a narrative you are not expecting and that is what keeps you engaged in the narrative.

Negative Points

The book cover deceives you thinking it is a rip off of other books as there was a time when a lot of authors has a lot of the similar book styles

Overall Review

This is a fun book and it is good because it is a murder narrative you are not expecting. It is a fun read, makes you want to turn the page and find out what is going to happen.
