  • The script went through a considerable re-write to solidify the movie’s PG-13 rating.
  • Producer Mike Lobell spent fourteen years trying to set this up. Alexander Payne and Robert Altman were amongst the directors involved.
  • Cameron Diaz has eight scenes, albeit short ones, before her character finally speaks
