There are so many songs that are out there everywhere then all of a sudden they disappear and you only hear from them very rarely that they can create a sense of nostalgic for you, the listener. So roll up and welcome to Forgotten Songs where we celebrate these forgotten wonders.

Clubbed To Death – Rob Dougan

Today we are heading Down the world of dance music to take a look at a track that gained a second round of popularity as it featured in the Matrix films.

In February of 1995, Rob Dougan released the song Clubbed To Death. It was created by the composer and released under the record label of Mo’wax. The beginning of the song may sound familiar as it is an excerpt of Edward Elgers song Enigma Variations.

The song is fully instrumental and it was used in The Matrix and when you hear it you will automatically recognise it.

The single did well in the United Kingdom due to the film and went into the charts at number 2 in the dance chart, in the top 40 it went into the position of 24.
