DJ Play A Christmas Song – Cher

Today we look at a pop song that was released last year as a festive track, I am not sure if you would remember it so today we are going to take a look at a song by the pop royalty Cher.

On the 6th October 2023, Cher released the single DJ Play A Christmas Song which was released off of her album called Christmas that was also released in 2023. The song was written by Sarah Hudson, Jessie Saint John, Brett McLaughlin, James Abrahart, Mark Schick and Lionel Crasta. The song was produced by Mark Taylor and was released under the record label of Warner.

The track did reasonably well and went to number 2 in Germany Download chart, number 1 in the US Contemporary chart, 21 in the Netherlands, 14 in the Canadian Digital Snog Sales Chart and 41 in the UK Singles chart.

Last year the song was on British television a lot and was on programmes such as Strictly Come Dancing the Final and The Graham Norton Show.

If you are a fan of songs such as Believe then you will enjoy this song as it has a similar sort of tone to it as it is electronical and has a lot of autotune to it. The chorus could be defined as catchy and it is definitely a unique type of Christmas song.
