Its called “I Deserve That” and its about dwelling too much on the internet being bad for you and how people get sucked into weird stuff too much online.

Your favourite lyric in this song: 

“You make me sicker, you. Make me UH” (Because its bad for you but also can do things that make you feel good.)

Your favourite song that you have created that is an album track:

We’ve always been really proud of the lesser known tracks on our first EP “Sugar” – particularly “Say it Now”. It was never a single or anything but we find ourselves thinking about it a lot. On our album, the track “Flesh” was also never a single but is a real favourite for us and some of our fans.

Your favourite song to play live:

Probably one of our heavier tracks like Graves, or Hollow, or this new one I Deserve That!

The song that was the longest to write and why?

There’s an upcoming track on our new album (release TBA) which has elements we started writing over 5 years ago, combined with new stuff. It’s a really emotional closing track about being afraid of death. Really pretty arrangements and lots of strings and orchestral stuff on it made it a nightmare to put together which took years! But its off to be mixed now, so we are really excited to see how it turns out.

Your most emotional track:

Probably the aforementioned one, but we have a track on our first album called “Flesh” that means a lot to us.

Dream collaboration:

We’d love to work with Butch Vig because of his incredible history around the genres and bands we love and we really admire his sensibilities, Jonny would also love to work with the Paul Brothers who produced Jai Pauls masterpieces that went out on XL recordings, however getting to work with Andy Bradfield and Avril Mackintosh on our new record has so far been incredible, and is in itself a dream collaboration come true!

Describe the feeling you get when you walk on stage to do a show:

It’s super hype – feels amazing to be on stage as best pals just having fun! Constant adrenaline and joy – it’s always so difficult coming home from a tour!

The hardest track to play live:

There’s a new song going to appear on our new album called “Tangerine” Its a real groovy down tempo track that’s SO much harder to get right than the rift fast ones.
