Films are something that we all look towards for escapism – the action, the humour, the romance, the animation. Sometimes these can hold so much more meaning then just an image on a screen and create narratives and memories in our own lives. Welcome to the sister article to Music Memories where we take a look at some of these personal stories attached to films.
Film: Kingsman: The Secret Service
Original Release Date: 2014
There are some films that I have no interest in watching until I have to work through the night and I want background noise. Kingsman is one of those films that I ended up watching at this time of night. I wasn’t sure I was going to like it and it was a film that I found intriguing when I watched it.
The first thing that I found fascinating was that I had not seen Colin Firth in this type of role before and I found that really interesting the type of role that it was. Also I had never seen Taron Egerton in any film before and there was so much buzz around him I thought it would be really interesting to see why.
This film had so many twists and turns that I ended up liking it – I was not a fan of the violence as it is something I never like but I knew it was coming I would not watch the fight scenes as some are horrible.
The thing I like about this film is that there is an element of humour in their as well.
