How did you come up with the name of your show that your taking to the Camden fringe?

It was the first line of the show that I wrote. I was actually going to change it but as time went on (and from sheer laziness), I realised it fit the theme of the show perfectly.

Tell us a little bit about your style of show?

So it’s a bit of a melting pot of different styles, I would say. Dark comedy is what it is likely classed as but I quite like calling it comedy with a bite- Al dente comedy. It’s just me onstage, on a train journey to St. Ives, with a tub of celebrations.

What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the fringe?

I’m really excited to see “Gloria’s gift” at the Old red lion. I didn’t get to see its initial run in February so am definitely getting tickets.

What advice would you give to others who want to perform at Camden Fringe next year?

Throw yourself in headfirst. I’ve never put a show on before and I’m already learning a ton. Try not to beat yourself up for not knowing things.

What is the best thing about performing at the Camden fringe?

The sun? The beer? The theatre? All of that plus the fact that it’s so accessible for working class creatives such as myself.

London can be an expensive place to perform in – what key advice would you give to performers that is a sort of life hack?

When getting a Tesco’s meal deal, always go for the double twirl. More bang for your buck and you can save some for later if you need a sweet treat on the journey home.

What are your three favourite things about Camden?

  1. Street food.
  2. Street food.
  3. Street food (and beer).

Who would be your ultimate dream audience member?

Matt Berry as Toast of London.

The iconic image of the Camden Fringe is the Pigeon – if you could call this years pigeon a name to represent its style what would it be and why?

Dickie Clementine, the third.

If people want to find out more about you where can they follow you on social media?

And Finally in three words – Why should people come and see the show?
