Today we are heading back to the early noughties to have a look at a track that you may of forgotten about – I sure did. Since it is technically summer and this has Sunshine as a name, I thought it would be fun to look at.

Sunshine was a single released by the American artist Twista on the 2nd August 2004. It heavily samples the track Lovely Day by Bill Withers that was released in the seventies.

The single was produced by Red Spyda and released under the released under the record label of Atlantic. The song was the fourth single to be released from his fourth album Kamikaze. The single also features the R&B musician Anthony Hamilton.

The song did relatively well in the UK charts and went into the top 10 in the Australian Urban (4) charts, Belgium (5), Ireland (6) and Scotland (8).

In the United Kingdom the song went in at number 2 in the UK Hip Hop Charts and number 3 in the UK Singles.
