Hello! Tell us about yourself?

Hello, I’m Odette! I’d like to think that I am a woman with swan-like qualities but sometimes I think it might be the other way around. You might recognize my name from the classical ballet Swan Lake – my lawyers are still fighting that battle – but everyone else involved is dead now… so it makes things a little tricky.

Tell us all about your show!

Well I’ve been killing time at my lake practising my pointe, singing and slowly weaning off of my buds. I’m waiting for someone… it could be you, to help me out of my box. It’s collected a few cobwebs lately but I really think the right hero can clear it out!

How did you come up with the name of your show that you’re taking to the Fringe?

Well my name is Odette, and I owe a debt of love so I thought it would be fun to kinda name it after myself.

What other acts are you looking forward to seeing at the Fringe?

I think Father Greg Orian is one of the most beautiful creatures I’ve seen and I am dying to see their show #1 Son at Underbelly. I really hope they can help me gain God’s favour and help me break my curse.

Also Old God at CC Blooms is a must see! The way he moves and talks mesmerises me. I really hope he tries to save me one day!

Talk us through your daily routine for a day at the Fringe

I wake up. Go digging for worms. Eat. Stretch. Smoke some buds. Stretch. Preen. Stretch. Scout for heroes. Condition. Alot of stretching and conditioning to do a 60 minute show en pointe everyday.

Ok, where is your favourite place to eat at the Fringe?

I don’t know yet but I hope they have worms. Mmm worms are my breakfast of choice. They are just so happy when you suck them down. Screaming from both ends!

Best thing about performing at the Fringe?

I always love making new friends everywhere I go, and I know there will be a lot of swan sisters at the festival this year so I’m really looking forward to connecting with them all HONK HONK.

Top tips for travelling around the Fringe and getting to shows on time?

Avoid large flocks, you can easily get lost in the momentum. And if you ever get lost fall and honk at the top of your lungs until someone comes to your aid. I find that very helpful.

What would be your top three items every performer must take to the Fringe?

Well I can never go anywhere without my ballet shoes, pack of buds and my box!

What’s the secret to successful flyering?

My mother always told me to be honest, so I simply just tell people the truth. If they don’t come to my show I’ll die because they won’t be there to save me.
